Engineer required for maintenance facility in Malta

Due to company expansion, and an increasing work load in the maintenance department, Malta Wings require a licenced engineer to strengthen its team. This is a fantastic opportunity with a progressive company who will offer opportunities for further training and career development.
Requirements:
- The candidate must have an EASA B1.2 licence, preferably with experience on Cessna and Tecnam aircraft.
- Candidates who also hold an EASA B2 or B3 licence will have preference
- Experience on Lycoming and Rotax engines
- Good verbal and written English
- Good computer literacy
- Must be able to work without supervision and as part of a team
- Must be prepared to travel if required
- Permanent position based at Malta International Airport, Malta
Duties
- General maintenance of company aircraft, ensuring the quality of workmanship in the finished product is to a standard acceptable to the company and the CAD/EASA
- Ensure health and safety requirements are complied with and report deficiencies in hangar equipment, stands, trestles, jacks, lifting tackle and ground handling equipment to the Maintenance Manager
- Ensuring spares requirements for work in progress are notified to the Maintenance Manager and if necessary are ordered in accordance with company procedures
- Ensure all associated worksheets and job cards are checked for accuracy and completeness before certifying is work done, in accordance with the limitations of company authorisation held
- Accurate electronic time booking, or manual means when appropriate, reflecting work done on the worksheet or job card item
- Ensure all parts and materials fitted to an aircraft or aircraft component are accompanied by the correct serviceable tags to confirm traceability, and respective batch numbers are entered on job cards or worksheets
- Ensure serviceable parts removed are appropriately labelled and routed to the correct quarantine area in accordance with company procedure
- Maintaining good engineering practices in all work carried out
- Proper supervision of any additional staff allocated for a particular job by the Maintenance Manager
Remuneration depends on qualification and experience.
